Hello. -Zuko- Author here. Here's what I put my MC through:
1. Bonded with the most legendary dragon, which made her peers look at her differently.
2. Went on a quest with her academic rival, a sunshine jokester, a no-nonsense archer, and a brooding 3rd-year with rumors swirling him like a storm.
3. Witnessed her hometown get destroyed by a rampaging Oni (giant). Her mom was one of the many casualties.
4. Went on a revenge mission against the Oni.
5. Realized her "birthmark" is a dark mark from a corrupted Yokai (forest spirit) that amplifies her dark emotions and thoughts.
6. Got corrupted by the Shadow Dragon, the physical embodiment of all things dark and evil in the shape of a dragon, through said dark mark.
7. Hurt her rival-turned-love interest and other friends.
8. Freed from corruption, but has to now live with the guilt of her actions.
My MC will never be the same again.
