Unleashing Inferno: The Untold Story of Wildfires and Their Impact

Each year, wildfires threaten our planet more than the last. The rate at which wild fires have been starting and spreading has been increasing exponentially over the last decade. It’s known amongst government officials and field experts that climate change is to blame for the favorable fire conditions, specifically, global warming causing droughts and extending fire seasons.

Man is to blame, mostly due to the burning of fossil fuels, flicking cigarettes, fallen power lines, equipment malfunction, burning debris, unattended campfires, and acts of arson.

Some of the deadliest wildfires have happened over the last 5 years, including those in California, Texas, Washington and Oregon, Siberia and the Arctic permafrost, the Amazon Rainforest wildfires and Brazilian Pantanal, the Indonesian and Australian wildfires, and most notably recently, the Canadian wildfires which have burned over 11 million acres in several regions of Canada.

While wildfires are essential to nature, they are also destructive, and are increasing the rate of climate change as it occurs naturally, leaving the planet unable to filter out carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. The increasing wildfires that occur in the forests, savannahs, wildlands, grasslands, and jungles around the world are not a joke. We need to become aware of this global problem, because it’s not going to get better on its own, it will only get worse as the planet continues to warm.

I am not a climate activist – that’s not what my channel is about. I’m just a regular guy making science videos, using government resources, in hopes that you will find something interesting.
