I had those symptoms too on my 2011 f10 535i I replaced high fuel pressure sensor, helped a bit but not all the way, then I replaced low pressure fuel pump and high pressure fuel pump all genuine bmw parts it improved a lot, but once in a while it has hard to start, until I finally replaced low fuel pressure sensor that is on the fuel line goin in to high pressure fuel pump since mine is early n55 like yours low pressure sensor looks is older style and looks different, and it’s hard to find it by looking at part number fcp euro will show newer sensor that looks just like the one you replaced now and it will fit but what bmw recommended is if you go with newer style is to replace a fuel line too so new sensor fits correctly, anyways I went to real oem and found correct part number for older style sensor and replaced it and after that car is finally happy. I would suggest you replace low pressure sensor too because they are known to go bad and not throw a code .

Do you think it's my fuel pressure sensor, essentially the one you just replaced on your 2011 N55 535i F10? I keep getting drivetrain malfunctions after 20kmh and now I've got a beautiful check engine light, let me know!! appreciate it broo

Hey Mr. Johnson,
We replaced the fuel pressure sensor on my son's 2011 X3M today. My son says the car drives great now but it still has the drivetrain malfunction message on the idrive. Did you have to clear the code after the sensor replacement?

Grant....so where did you get that intake did u honestly feel the difference with the ....MHD TUNE....E-20 MIX...DOWN PIPE....CHARGE PIPE....AND INTERCOOLER?....I have a 2013 535 i x drive.... 90k....and im looking to make it what it should be....good looking car but i need more than what it has from the factory

I had failure of that same sensor and that was all it was. The car runs flawless now.

Did you have any faults? And which hpfp do you have? The old n54 style or the new one? I have the old one carried over from the n54 in my 535i 2011. And i have 2 fault: 11a401 and 11b401 high fuel pressure low. But i have no symptoms... could it be the sensor?

When replacing the MAF sensor, do you have to reprogram or reset the sensor? I know this video is for a high-pressure sensor, just having issues with MAF since I replaced the high pressure fuel sensor.

Does the whole back seat come out or just the driver side? Also, do you have the part number to the sensor? Im on FCP Euro, and there's many.

I have a 520d e60 with the same issue the car runs fine but when sitting idle for too long it starts to choke and then stalls out. I find that I have to turn off if sitting at a light too long. Gonna change my sensor this week. Hope it fixs it . Ty

Hi, I have a 2011 535i here. I have the codes:
119404 - Rail pressure sensor, signal: permanently stuck
11AC02 - High Pressure Fuel System, plausibility, cold start: pressure too low
191C01 - Fuel tank ventilation system, shutoff valve jammed open.
I am thinking to make the swap on the HPF pressure sensor to be sure the sensor is working properly before doing more.
I just had the LPFP replaced under the recall a month ago. Since then I still see issues with limp mode due to the above codes and misfires. When I monitor the HPFP pressure I see normal HPFP readings matching the set value at idle around 8MPa, but the reading diverges as the set value increases above 10MPa. When it fails to track the set value it throws the code and I assume opens a fuel bypass to allow low pressure through as the pressure drops to around 0.7MPa at that point. My vehicle has the LPF pressure sensor and it is solid at 0.7MPa the whole time.

Any recommendations? It seems like it is the HPFP, but I am not sure if the sensor failure can be pressure dependent.

I'm going to attempt this tomorrow. You briefly mentioned about starting the car a few times first... why would you do this? Also do you think I could pull the fuel pump fuse rather than disconnect the pump in the back? Thanks

good afternoon, i have a bmw 535i 10/11 this fault code 1F0525 could be the sensor ?? it walks normally, but when it accelerates hard from 3rd or 4th gear, the fault code and propulsion system appears, after turning off and on again it returns to normal

My car is cranking but isn’t starting && when it does start it will just die … I tried the new battery still doing same thing so tmrw I will be trying fuel pump relay and seeing if the fuse is bad but if it does start and runs it’ll like start to choke then will shut off
