Varroa sugar shake method

This is a short description of how to test accurately for Varroa. It is highly recommended to ensure you keep Varroa levels low in the hive which is probably the most important thing for colony health. You can also use this method to help decide which colonies to breed from by determining which are best at keeping Varroa levels low. Doing this can even save you money as if you find levels are low treatment may not be needed. I am also posting another video on the benefits of performing this method in particular focusing on Irish beekeeping.
