Thank you so much Brian..this is so timely. Just yesterday the Catholic school board in York Region Ontario, voted against flying the gay flag outside its buildings and there is a huge back lash. Even after they explained so charitably with so much compassion how it's just not in line with Catholic teaching. I feel like these brave people will be harmed. People are so angry but I am glad they stood up for their faith unlike the other Catholic school boards in Ontario.

Sola Scriptura leads to moral relativism. At least, there doesn’t seem to be any strong working definition of Sola Scriptura that doesn’t somehow involve a form of Moral Relativism…

a) …requiring knowledge of the Hebrew, Aramaic and later Greek languages spoken by the authors and transcribers,

b) …the cultural practices, including the archeological and geographical evidences of those people the Scriptures describe, such as the Babylonians, Egyptians, and Assyrians for example,

c) …and a basic understanding of the history of the Israelites coupled with at least some basic claim to knowledge of the early church in relation to what the Scriptures from both before Christ and after Christ actually describe.

In short, if Sola Scriptura requires all these things to clearly understand the Scriptures, then the people who uphold some form of Sola Scriptura are NOT really talking about relying solely upon the Scriptures at all.

No actually Bryan i think you will find, in some neighbourhoods if you say "can I hold" "it means will you give me" so i guess thats how to rob someone with relativism, its weird how relativism seems to work as in they say "this is my position" and you say ABC "your position is illogical" and they say "yes but i stand by it" and you're left thinking well dont let something like common sense shift you off your pearch, otherwise people mght mistake you for being reasonable and logical, well a Fish can ride a bicycle and thats my position! His Church has _only_ been around for 1, 989 years. (2023 - 34 (the year Jesus was 33) = 1, 989 years).
Normally I am willing to overlook the rounding up to two millennia, but you are in an *_"over"_* violation and such errors cannot be overlooked.

As for the relativism.
What cultures promoted murder, stealing, lying, non-marriage. Spartans promoted some of these, but you weren't supposed to get caught. For relativism to be true it wouldn't matter if you were caught because it isn't wrong.
Most people would define the action of relativism as being anti-social.
Under relativism the sociopath has come into their own and would have no disfunction.

Christianity is a weird religion. Everyone always criticizes you if you practice the wrong one. Love of Jesus doesn’t matter. It has to line up with someone else’s version of Christianity.
