Even a proper donut knows Co-op Members save more with Member prices

Our local co-op is five minutes walk away from us. We do our main shop online from...somewhere else. We use the co-op as a top up place, ya know? The new way the co-op card is bollocks. Now we save a few pennies on one or two products occasionally. The old way was much better. You saved up your card points and then you could have a mini-shop and you could pay it off via your card and it was like getting it for free.

What they've done (if you haven't noticed already) is increased their prices and then 'discounted' them by the same price for members. So it appears members are paying less when they're not and everyone else is paying more. Not just unethical but totally misleading.

What if the customers don't want a membership card? In this new drive were supposed to make the customers want to sign up for one and for some reason, the rest of the crew in the one I work at have this ideade that I want a card (You try telling them that I don't want one becuase they won't have it). One day, I'll make them, listen to what 'NO!! I DON'T WANT A CARD AND IF AND WHEN I WANT ONE, I'LL APPLY FOR ONE' means. It'll be a disciplinary but at least I'll make them listen. and understand. One of the instore propaganda adverts they keep blasting out of the instore radio is that the kids're off for the school holidays bu as it's propaganda, they miss out the fact that days out to theme parks, visits to family fun centres and visits to the cinema.aren't free.
