I’m going to La ronde as soon as school ends (on 21st of June), and I am so excited. The goliath and the demon look so fun. I’ve never been to La ronde which is why it’s so exciting. My family has already been there and i really wanted to go this year. To be honest, it’s one of my favorite themeparks in Canada.

Hoping to go next year. Really enjoyed the history. Would you suggest going in May for a good experience?

Great vlog!! As an employee, I also feel like I'm married to the park in the sense that I used to go there almost every single day with my mom growing up. And now I spend my entire summer there since I'm a ride op. I immensely love the park but the way the park is run deeply saddens and worries me. I feel like the problem is Six Flags not wanting to invest into the park because it has no competition, it isn't open year-long and the employees are unionized. Most members of the park's management are actually coaster enthusiasts as well and they regularly visit other parks in the US and Europe when they go on vacation. But I've heard from a lot of them that they really have to struggle to convince Six Flags into giving them a reasonable budget to improve the park every year. But Six Flags always seems to want to give them less than the bare minimum.

The biggest loss in my opinion is that we were very close to getting an RMC in 2017 and then again in 2021-2022 but Six Flags just cancelled the project for no reason... And now from what I heard, from upper management, La Ronde literally has nothing planned for the futur except for small improvements here and there...

I was certain Six Flags were going to give up on this park. It is nice to see it's being kept in good condition. That said, a new coaster or an RMC of Le Monstre needs to happen.

Excellent video!! I thoroughly enjoyed watching it, particular because you are the ONLY YouTubber (as far as I know) that has documented Expo 67's artifacts and ruins at the park in such detail. I had no ideas those tree-height fence logs from Fort Edmonton were cut, and hidden in those bushes (including a surviving red lamp--I remember seeing those all around the park 42 years ago--my last visit to La Ronde!). Didn't know about the abandon section of the Village either, very interesting footage! I've also been curious for years about what's left of Le Téléférique (FYI, the official English name was "Sky Ride"; it closed in 1996, and demolished in 2000). I've also been extremely curious what it's like with the Minirail gone, thanks for sharing that detail! And Galopant too, I even have a photo of myself riding it back in 1975 when I was just 3 years old. I image it'll be permanently moved out of the park.

If you return, I'd be curious to see the old Children's World section (what is now called Ribambelle Land?) to see what's left of the train and boat ride, and kiddie coaster that've been there since Expo '67. The last 3 original rides left at the park. Very little is recognizable at La Ronde in 2023, and not for the better. I'd have no interest in visiting now, other than to explore the Expo 67 bits and pieces.

Bouffe is Quebec slang for food lol. Never noticed its similarity to boeuf though, sounds like that's where it came from

also seeing that big puddle at Condor's exit at 40:00 almost gave me PTSD cause, *ahem*, the person who had to clear that out might have been a certain person with a Club Penguin pfp, and that puddle might have smelled of vomit. Fun stuff

lmao I sent a picture of your face to my security guard friend at La Ronde telling her to not be creeped out if she every stumbles upon you filming a vlog. Hopefully it'll help! XD

Regarding Le Monstre, the park confirmed that the current ride entrance sign was temporary so I would assume that the original one is being refurbished. And from what I know, the first drop is actually RMC topper track but no official confirmation on that.

Im done with La Ronde. No new ride for years, shutting down beloved rides year after year, no respect for past historical artefacts. Can you imagine that the last big coaster was added in 2009 (14 years ago!) and it was even then a refurbished ride -- Ednör. Last real made-for La Ronde coaster is Goliath 17 years ago. This management is clueless and has no damn respect for Montrealers. Enough!
