Fitting TEC stand bobbin kit to Triumphs new Street Twin/Street Cup

I got the Triumph Bobbins for my Bobber and an Oxford Paddock Stand, trouble is the bobbins are mounted to low so it's a dodgy business levering it up. This solution going through the axle looks like it should be much easier.

Great idea, I’ve just ordered one for my Street Twin, however, if you haven’t got an extended 27mm socket you’d have to take it off to slacken the spindle nut.

I purchased the bobbin kit from TEC Bike Parts USA for a 2017 Street Cup. If you screw the left side with the collar all the way end it is too short and no threads are exposed on the right side. I can screw both sides only halfway and make it work but don't feel like it is secure and wish the bolt were longer.

Fine and easy job, the spindle was about an inch over length, but cut this down and fits fine.

My Thruxton 900 2004 does not seem to have a hollow axel, am I being thick or di I have to remove loxk nuts etc, TIA. Mark

I have one to install they manufacturer instruction suggest applying 'red grease' along it before install, any recommendations on a good grease I could use for this and other areas of bike?

I'm assuming you cannot remove the wheel with these installed. Only for working on chain and general maintenance?
