Classics Illustrated Junior ran #501-577. Likely Gilberton started with a high number to avoid confusion with their existing Classics Illustrated series, which had reached #112 or so when the Junior title began.

The walking dead comic at the start is a special issue, with the story taking place in Barcelona, Spain. I saw that Brian K. Vaughan (of Saga fame) wrote it.

I have a copy of that Sandman on top signed by Gaiman and Charles Vess. But I tape-pulled a tiny flake off the cover when bagging it ;( On the plus side Gaiman also signed #8.

21:10 That Black Zeppelin is interesting. I've never heard of it, but Gene Day did great work on Master of Kung Fu, although he's probably best known for the classic Boba Fett cover on Star Wars 68.
