My best friend passed away on New Year’s Day this year. In my friend group he’s the only person who loved songs like this. It’s the kind of song him and I would both fine so relatable. This song means more to me than I think I can even comprehend. And I wont claim to be some OG whos just always listened to Turnover but like they just started showing up in my Pandora (yeah I still use Pandora) and I just started thumbing up their songs without actually memorizing the name of the band. But then this song came on. And I can honestly say that a song hasn't resonated with me like this for a very long time. I know its cheesy and cliche and I won't get into specifics (not that I'd have to) but truthfully this song has made the rhythm in my heart beat a bit off-beat. And I get that this is a pretty fucked up song, but to be honest I just feel comfortable knowing someone else has this combination of feelings in them and made them into a song. Thanks, Turnover. This rough patch of my life has gotten somewhat smoother thanks to your music.

This is one of my favorite albums of the year and today I finally read the lyrics and damn! This song went from happy sounding to really depressing.

this song takes back to a negative time in my life that i have now improved from. It just gives me tears thinking abt how easy it is just not to be in trouble. And how i could have avoided all of those things that happened. The chorus was just like everything i was feeling every moment in that dark and gloomy time. That's why it gives me tears because of how much i have grown for that (happy tears) and how depressing that time really was for me (sad tears) but yea this songs means alot to me and i just love the concept of it it's amazing!!!
