This video is the first of my trip to the CONEXPO 2020 in Las Vegas. Here we were given access to the WORLD'S FIRST BATTERY-POWERED MINI EXCAVATOR. I was impressed with how it felt. Of course we didn't get to dig with it but it was very responsive and natural to operate.

Nice looking machine. Hard to think that so many machines will be moving towards electric power. Just think of all the existing homes that will need to be wired to be able to charge multiple vehicles daily. I guess I should have learned to pull wires instead of swing the hammer. Haha

How long can it operate on a charge? What type of battery does it use? And is it able to be recycled? It may have a more adverse effect on the environment if it isn't and uses rare earth elements.

Is that excavator for sale now?
OOf course like many other, I can imagine, we all wonder just how powerful and reliable these will be. That information can only come with use, wouldn't it?
It's a great idea, and I can see great potential for this type of excavator, especially in this size and weight class, if not, smaller.

I really like your videos. You put up interesting stuff. What was the price of battery powered Mini-ex? Does it come in Milwaukee Electric Tool Co. red or DeWalt yellow?

Like everything, say like working in a hospital repair or near a building with highly flammable liquids... there is probably a place and time for. I truly see it like the cordless tools that when they came out the battery worked ok and the next higher voltage till how did a six volt work as you use a 80 volt system. And then leigh of time of use gets shorter and shorter till it really just won't work. And at a friendly cost to change batteries which is slightly less than just get all new. I do believe quiet will be nice so now say we are no longer shadow boxing, and dad shows you your first one with a axu., cord so you could finish what your doing .. please just let me have one thing as the cost to you and the saving to man ratio is just not that good
