battery protection is baked-in (switchable of course) also built-in QR code scanner...also thanks to the gyroscope (for those of us who prefer not to have lock screens and have 15 second display timeout) you can wake the display simply by picking up the phone from prone position and pitching the display to the vertical position ....no button presses or screen swipes needed (face unlock works too)
note rolling or yawing the prone phone will not wake the display
