Is This the ‘Loneliest Orca in the World’?

Heartbreaking video shows a killer whale thrashing its body against the inside of its tank. It happened at MarineLand Park in Niagara Falls, Canada. Kiska, a 45-year-old Orca, lives in total isolation and has not been in contact with another whale since 2011. “Experts who’ve reviewed Kiska’s conditions have said that she’s probably the loneliest orca in the world, because she has no companionship whatsoever,” Camille Labchuk, executive director of Animal Justice, told Inside Edition.

If you’re gonna talk about “Kiska” you might as well mention “Lolita” she’s been in the Miami seaquarium 50 plus years her tank is 20 feet deep and 60 feet wide but that area is only 35 feet since there is a barrier for the show.

In 2019 a law was passed that no more orcas be held in captivity in Canada, but sadly, Kiska had to live out her remaining time there until she passed.

That's so sad. She's locked in a prison all alone against her will. She's trying to let them know that she needs to be free to go where she's meant to be to mate and procreate.
Someone needs to do something to make that happen. It's brutality, and it isn't right.

17 orca whales, 25 beluga whales, and an estimated 22 dolphins have died at Marineland, CA already since its opening. That place needs to be investigated.
