That guitar solo beginning at 2:08 is beyond brilliant. Heard it in early childhood and never forgot it.

The three great Parliament -Funkadelic songs were :"I Wanna Testify", "God Ole Music" and "I Betcha" . All three were Detroit songs through and through.

First time I heard this song was in '"Driver parallel lines" game

Eddie Hazel laid down the track so ICE T O.G. to rock to it. Old generation vs. New Generation. Solid hit both generations.

this whole record is brilliant but this is probably my favorite song on it.

Funkadelic was the best post-Hendrix group ever. At their very best, they were unbeatable.
If Jimi had lived, this is what he would've had in mind.

Eddie Hazel was a class act.

This song was covered by the Jackson 5(of all groups) on the ABC album--wasn't too shabby either.

Thank you very much for the upload...very funky sounds of probably one of the most overlooked innovators in modern music...Mr George Clinton...the man is a genius.

Still A Stone Jam...
I heard this before Hendrix' s 'Purple Haze' or Miles 'Bitches Brew' and back in the late '60's and it sounds as 'futuristic' now as it did then.
The fact that I experienced this along with the long version of The Temptations "Runaway Child, Running Wild', not to mention Fugi's 'Mary Don't Take Me On No Bad Trip' before Hendrix and Miles electric stuff made me puzzled by folks being so blown away by 'Purple Haze' and 'Bitches Brew'.
Not to say that they're not worthy it's more like: "What about Funkadelic"?
In my opinion their first three albums are (almost) in a genre by themselves.
A totally different, unique approach that is also familiar; so much of what has happened before can be heard and is simultaneously being alluded to in an original way.

it's a toss up between this and "mothership connection" by Parliament
