More than 300 Israeli strikes on Syria since fall of Assad

Israeli military aircraft are said to have conducted numerous airstrikes aimed at military installations throughout Syria, including in the capital city of Damascus.
According to the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, over 310 strikes by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have been recorded since the collapse of the Assad regime on Sunday.
Israel asserts that these operations are intended to thwart the transfer of weapons to "extremists" during Syria's transition into a post-Assad period.
In the meantime, rebel factions that have taken control of the country have declared their intention to pursue officials associated with President Assad’s administration.
