World Systems Theory - Explained

Показать описание
World-System Theory is a holistic, interdisciplinary framework for understanding global history and social dynamics. It prioritizes the world-system, rather than individual nation-states, as the central unit of analysis. This theory asserts that the world operates as an interconnected system, where economic, political, and cultural forces transcend borders, influencing societies on a global scale. Developed by scholars like Immanuel Wallerstein, it elucidates how core nations dominate and exploit peripheral ones within this global structure. World-System Theory emphasizes the role of capitalism, unequal power relations, and long-term historical trends in shaping the world. It offers valuable insights into the complexities of globalization and social change.

This is awful. You might want to explain it in simple language and stop quoting Wikipedia word for word.

When I look at the map for core, semi-periphery, and periphery; it's hard not see the dominant races in each region. One might think there's an underlying history of racism at play.
