Pro-gamer move: dying in 1916 so Hitler wouldn't get to you in 1938

Imagine being a well respected & beloved art academy, and only being remembered as "The place that rejected the angry mustache man."

The Academy's Wikipedia page has a section hilariously titled "Notable rejected applicant"

This might be weird but its extremely refreshing as a history buff to see a WWII video uncensored

I don’t think it was the art school rejection that made him snap…

"However, the person who had rejected Hitler..."
Me: "OH"
"Had been dead for over 20 years at that point"
Me: "oh..."

I have a book at home from 1974 called "Der Aufstieg der NSDAP in Augenzeugenberichten", "The rise of the NSDAP in eyewitness reports". It says, that, while H*tler was rejected from Art School, he got the recommendation to apply at an architect school, as his paintings fit into that toppic more than in art, which H*tler, according to the book, accepted.

People put too much importance on Hitler's relationship to art. The truth is, he was a bohemian and would still refuse to do regular jobs and burn all his money wherever he entered the Academy or not. And he did lived off from selling postcards he painted, so he lived as an artist for years before the war and his political career.

Whatever else you think about Hitler and his atrocities, he survived 4 years of combat on the Western Front. I doubt anything from before WW1 felt very significant in his life.

Do people actually seriously think that Hitler became a dictator just because he was mad about getting rejected from art school? Like they really believe that's his origin story? Some people can't conceive of anything outside the framework of memes and movies

He was rejected by the art school because they believed he really belonged in the school of architecture based on his skills.

I mean it had been almost 30 years at that point, I think most people would have gotten over it by then

Meanwhile Christian Griepenkerl in the afterlife in 1945:
"Why do I have about 60 million assists?"

I knew it was a sort of "meme" that his rejected at arts school was a catalyst for his downfall, what I did not expect was despite how peaty the tyrant could be he seemly had a total indifference to it, leaving to rest in my mind to just how mundane this event was in his life.

The school has 100% acceptance rates for austrian men to prevent a repeat of the past😂
