"Maybe this isn't the story you think it is." Sounds pretty clear to me. This Matrix is not connected to the previous Matrix movies. The names may be the same but the context has been altered.

I think this version of the Matrix is actually the world created by Sati at the end of the third movie. I think Neo didn't actually die, but his mind and body were separated and she creates this new sub-matrix as a way to preserve him and try to keep his mind intact as she tried to figure out how to reunite his mind and body as a way to thank him for saving the machines from Smith. She's got to keep him sedated, which is where Niel Patrick Harris' character comes in. His glasses are translucent blue like the blue pills so I think he is an embodiment of blue pills who has a constant presence in Neo's simulated life. Sati wasn't created yet during the events of the first movie, so she didn't know all the details of people involved so she had to go off of fragments of Neo's memories, which is why some characters look different being played by other actors. I think that Priyanka Chopra is playing an adult Sati and she acts as the new oracle for this sub-matrix she created.

Curious to see how Keanu's fighting scenes will compare to the ones in the previous movies.
I mean he's had a lot of training doing the John Wick movies so i'm guessing we will see something different this time around.
Anyway i am hyped and can't wait to see this.
