I struggled in Frostpunk 2 so you don't have to

This is part 1 of my playthrough of the Frostpunk 2 campaign. The wonderful people at 11-bit studios gave me an early key for Frostpunk 2, so I'm diving in to show you the first half of the campaign. So far I'm really enjoying the game and I look forward to playing it more to get you guys the second video.

Huge tip for anyone starting a utopia run. Immediately pass "guided voting" and use it to push down the rules section under laws to become captain. Doesn't matter what you have to promise just do it. It erases trust and makes the council unanimously do whatever you say. The game is so MUCH better when you don't have to put up with the council's bs.

a really small detail I love the fact that resources prompt expansion, as it does irl.
I mean it makes sense, but its very cool to see the devs putting that reason in and combining it with gameplay.

This game showed me a big truth about myself

The two sides wouldnt calm tf down and accept my compromise so I assembled a private army, couped the government, and forced both groups into enclaves

when i first played, i chose the faith start, which made the opposite radical faction (Stalwarts and Pilgrims being radical factions) a group called the Evolvers, who are all about adapting to the frost, for example, replacing lost hands with pickaxes, when it came to the fuel option, i chose the Evolver/Pilgrim one just because that means you can use both oil and coal, which as i found in my second playthrough, which failed, is pretty important when there's much easier access to coal than oil
