Challenge Detroit Year 2 | Challenge 5: Activating Public Space

Our fifth challenge partnered us with the Detroit RiverFront Conservancy and its stakeholders to leverage their combined resources to revitalize Detroit's riverfront region through a cohesive strategy of community engagement and public space activation. Teams of fellows engaged business and organizational stakeholders along with area residents and riverfront users to explore partnership opportunities and assist in developing an executable strategy and awareness plan for riverfront experiences, while identifying opportunities to strengthen awareness of the Conservancy. Fellows also planned and executed an interactive mural on the Dequindre Cut to engage the community further.
