Showing an Itacolumite Specimen - Flexible / Bendable Sandstone Rock from North Carolina, USA

Today on @CoolStuffWithKyle, I show you a new rock specimen that I have just added to my collection. This is itacolumite, a type of sandstone that is only found in a few locations in the world. This specimen is from Sauratown Mtn, North Carolina, in the United States.

This rock is unique in its flexibility, having an unusual capacity for being bent or flexed, certainly much more than most rocks could typically be.

Thanks for the video. I am thinking of purchasing some itacolumite and was wondering if smaller pieces flex or just the very large ones. Your video answered that question.
