Nmon Ford played Escamillo in ENO's 2023 production of Carmen.

Carmen: a woman ablaze with passion, surrounded by men possessed by obsession and jealousy. One of opera’s most well-known characters sets herself on a road to tragedy when she meets Don José, a corporal in the army searching for love.

February 9th. A memorable evening spent at the magnificent, majestic ColiseumTheatre in London, where I watched with mixed emotions a very different version of the opera Carmen.The orchestra, lead singers and chorus were superb, the clarity of Tenor Mr. Sean Panikker amazing, as for the charismatic Baritone Mr. Nmon Ford, stunning voice, a perfect Escamillo!

Very impressive. I could actually understand almost every word. I tried to listen to someone else sing it in English but I would have understood more in the French, and I don't speak French.
