Here's how to install Ubuntu on HTC Evo 4G! The process is nearly identical to the Nexus One except you need to flash a modded kernel/driver files beforehand.

Let's just call it Evobuntu.

@SpartanM17 I was talking about the people who kept asking what ubuntu was. So my point was that If you don't even know what Ubuntu is, you're probably not tech literate enough to understand it yet. Once you know what Ubuntu is come talk to me.

that's Lubuntu. maybe when they get higher spec android phones they can do regular ubuntu

Would this work with the Evo 4G Shift? I think a physical keyboard would be awesome for running a desktop OS on a phone ;)

Flashing zimage causes my touch input to stop responding. I can't press anything. Also, it causes my phone to boot loop. Any suggestion?

can't execute /bin/bash input/output shutting down ubuntu. How do you fix this

@iSuperGeek Ok, fixed the boot loop but it still won't let me unlock my phone after I reboot after flashing zimage. CM6, most recent STABLE release (as of the time I m writing this).

i'm sorry, but how can i install ubuntu on htc sensation, i've read that need "netarchy's kernel" for it. Can i install ubuntu without that one, if yes than how?
