Akropolis was a pleasant surprise, a simple, short, light weight game that i thought had some depth to it. A solid addition to any collection, but perhaps not as straight fire in this niche as say Santorini or the crew. Very good game and I have practically nothing bad to say about it other than "most of the time i want something a bit heavier". For loads of folks out there, this is gonna be a hit.

I like this one. Not doing anything that hasn’t been done many times before - but it’s sprightly and sharp enough to be among the best of the very many “draft a tile/card and place it in your personal tableau for adjacency scoring points” games. I’m sure that there must be a snappier title for that genre.

It's a good game, and like you mentioned there really isn't anything bad to say here. Components are nice, and the speed of play is quick. The variants you can add to multiply the score is a welcome addition as well. An easy game to table with people that don't play games often, but not something that's ever really wowed anyone. I like Tiny Towns a bit more for the tension and slightly increased complexity, but this has been easier to teach and table.

Looks like a combination of Cascadia and Number 9, two games I really enjoy. Will have to give it a go sometime.

I enjoyed it. Fast playing, easy to teach/learn, and people like creating their own construction. A few minor gripes: Easy to see how people might gravitate to Cascadia, Calico or similar for a slightly more cerebral challenge; theme felt rather superficial, as it sort of fits, but really it's just an abstract. Finally, the very first game we played in this was a little concerning, as a focus on one particular colour scored much more than than players focusing on the other colours (100 on that colour alone, and more than double everyone else's score). I won't say which, but it felt like it needed players to avoid one of their number focusing heavily on that colour, and that's something of a flaw in game design IMO.

Definitely one I'd play again

How are the stacked blue tiles 28? is it 7 x 2 (stars) doubled for the height? Or what?

I just don't see this surpassing Taluva for me. No score pad. It can be mean or as nice as you want it to be. 12 tiles/player, and the end result looks even better. The rules are essentially a paragraph.

Interesting little game. I'd play it if it was on the table, but I won't go out of my way to add it to my collection. I like the tile stacking gimmick but Cascadia already fills my hexagonal tile drafting and placement niche. It has more variance with all the scoring criterias and I like the theme a lot more, though I will admit bias as a resident of the Pacific Northwest.
