There's literally a whole ocean's worth of shoulder to that road and yet they still manage to collide?!? 🤦

The world makes fun of the UK’s bad weather, but much of the coast line is unbelievably beautiful. Please, not another oil spill.

With all that’s going on in the world right now I’m sceptical about this one.

Worlds dumbest ship crew must have been onboard or it was a pre-planned attack.

I wonder if both ships are owned by the same parent company..

How is this possible in this day and age with the technology we've got surely they should have seen each other from miles apart

Answer this. How does a container ship crash into a tanker at anchor. Is this negligence???

How the Fk do two huge ships collide with sophisticated equipment on board in a huge expanse of uninterrupted water 🤷‍♂️ How.

These waters are so tightly controlled it's virtually impossible for two large ships to collide accidentally, even in bad weather (which it wasn't).

Insurance job? Helicopters hitting planes, boats hitting bridges, are people distracted by phones or is it sheer incompetence, either way it's on the rise.

Yes there was fog.
Also, turning and stopping a big ship takes a couple of miles potentially.

There is, however, really nothing but the utmost, unusual circumstance that can excuse this event. For example: terrorism, health emergency, catastrophic engine failure.

We are not just talking about the sailor's lives but the health of local coastal people. About the effects on the coastal area's biodiversity, about the financial hit this will cause the coastal areas through people not wanting to holiday there over the summer for health concerns.

Answers needed.
Actions needed.
Responsibility punished meaningfully.
