Giraffes are very common in Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. They can be found throughout the park's woodlands and in both protected and unprotected areas of northern and central Tanzania.

Tanzania has the largest giraffe population in Africa, with an estimated 28,580 giraffes. Masai giraffes are widely distributed throughout the country, including in the Tarangire-Manyara, Arusha, Mkomazi, Mikumi, Kigosi, and Saadani ecosystems.
