I have tried just about every DNA test out there and have been doing genealogy for over 40 years and I can honestly say this DNA ancestry test was definitely worth it. I was really happy with the deep ancestry test as CRI goes the extra mile and decodes the smaller segments in your DNA that gives you a better picture of your entire ancestry. On top of that if you do genetic genealogy to break down brick walls on family lines such as DNA painting with the timeline it gives you the actual segment number you need to plot on your DNA painting where that particular ancestry came from.

I bought a CRI Genetics home DNA kit mostly for the Deep AncestryDNA Timeline, which no other service offers. A+ Grade for my results there. Worth the test kit price right for this feature alone. Plus they also provided:

I would like to bring up in most cases for genealogy dna is great for proof. You will need to look hard and have documents and names of who you are related to. You can have 15 thousand 4th cousins and have no idea how you are connected.

Why did my DNA only go back to 1275? Also, I still don't understand what a haplo group is.

Well I just ordered there test kit so we shall see if it matches what my sisters says. I know where I am from on my fathers side, since I am only second gen German
