I don't understand why people are jumping to conclusions like Cliff is badmouthing Mustaine after this video? The guy basically says something like "mind your own business" in this video. Did he say anything bad about Mustaine, did he insult his personality? He just complained about him constantly making judgments about people, that's all. And guys, if someone is constantly talking about you, good or bad, I'm sure you're uncomfortable too. Cliff took it very maturely ı think.

Cliff Burton was a Legendary bass & Musician player. But Dave Mustaine made Megadeth and made it one of most successful rock bands worldwide. Not all people can make a successful comeback.

Dave talks shit because he can afford to, Mustaine’s guitar song writing is frickin amazing . I wish Metallica wouldn’t have used his music to jump start their career . Hetfield admitted, he was greedy . At least he was honest about it .

Don't forget an awful lot of what Dave said WAS true.
1. He wrote a significant number of tracks on their first 3 albums.
Frankly more than anyone else on balance.
2. Hetfield ALSO had issues with alcohol.
3.Thecremaining members promised not to use HIS, including Cliff, ignored this verbal collage.
4.Metallica did indeed SUCK after Mustaines' influence dried up and had been wrung out for its last dollar value.
5.They DID act like assholes in the way they fired him.
6.Lars Ulrich didn't have a clue who Lynerd Skynerd were.
7.In Scott Ians' book, Ian states that Cliff was closer to Mustaine than any other two band characters .So, Cliff kinda sold out to James in this interview.
Selling out became nothing new for Metallicash. Everything after their first three albums for their hardcore fans wasn't particularly potent for a groundbreaking "thrash metal " band .
8. If anyone was thrown out of a band on the brink of success, they'd always have a few things to say, don't you think ?
9. Lars demanded even more money by sharing writing credits on a proposed cooperation. Nothing changes for Lars and his love of fine abstract Art and support for lesbians
10.Listen to Dystopia or the The Sick, the Good and the Dead, and ask yourself a question.
"If Metallica hadn't lost their way, would they sound like this ?"

Cliff is right but they did do their fair share of bashing on Dave in interviews after they kicked him out, it was fair game for Dave.

Cliff was a real one. I’ve always been convinced that he was the balls of Metallica. Hence why the first album they did with zero Cliff influence, the Black album, sucked in comparison to what they had previously released. Had Cliff not died, I’m sure they would’ve changed their sound up eventually. Because that’s just what musicians do. But it wouldn’t have been so drastic a change. And Cliff probably would have kept Bob Rock far away from the band 🤣.
