You have to know his history. He is referring to his dads songs. Hank Williams. The father of country music. Your Cheating Heart was just one of his dads mega hits back in the 50’s. Jr has had an amazing career on his own

It's so funny when they react to these songs and find them hilarious because I've been listening to this old country since I was a little kid so it's just never been funny to me but they think it's hilarious 😂

I love how you guys get Country music. It's got a bad reputation for being a bit corny or 'sleep with my sister' in some places; a reputation it doesn't deserve. It's a truly wonderful genre. And I ain't no Southern hick; I was born in Northants, UK and brought up on folk and metal. I just know country music is legit and the world would be so much poorer- and sadder, without it.

Not sure if this has been covered in the comments but....
Honky Tonk = Bar
Honky Tonk Special = bar chick

This song was written about Greg Allman. Apparently, they were partying together and Greg's wife Cher kept trying to call him while he was messin around.

You guys are a great time. I usually hate these reaction things but you guys are so genuine about your reactions and are like me in the sense of loving music and enjoying the lyrics and stories of country music.
I can definitely see me and my boys howlin at the moon to some country with y’all.

"Your cheating heart" was written by his dad Hank Sr. And when he mentions it you can hear the guitar twanging the notes for that song. Hank Jrs music is layerd and steeped with inside knowledge, shout outs and honor for other musicians of many different genres. Mainly honor for his father and close friends of that amazing music era.

Still waiting on "He Stopped Loving Her Today" by George Jones. I can't wait to see your expressions when you realize why he stopped loving her. lol

One of my favorite classic country songs for a long time now—glad you two enjoyed it! I love throwing back a little whiskey to this song.

I’m thrilled you played this song. My dad used to take me to the bar with him and I played this song over and over on the jukebox because it had the word “hell” in it. Yes, my dad took me to bars. It’s was the late 70’s-80’s.

Y'all have to do He stopped loving her today by George Jones. Probably the best country song ever. George sings the hell out of that song and the lyrics are heartbreaking.

When he says don’t play “...” he’s talking about his dads Hank sr. Songs.

Hank’s Dad died when he was 3 years old. His dad was one of the pioneers of country music. So when he mentions “I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry” and “Your Cheatin’ Heart”, he is talking about his Dad’s songs. It gives a bit of context to his condition.
