Stanley makes a high quality socket set that goes up to a 1/2" and I think 12mm metric and standard and I've only seen at Walmart can't get big stuff but if you work on smaller type applocaes and stuff it's perfect comes in a 3"x6"'x2" thick box works perfect I always carry that on every repair

Plier wrenches are the bomb, I prefer them over crescents

Used to be an general contractor for years before I moved into construction consulting and contracting and tbh wouldn’t take most of those in my edc. That isn’t to say it’s wrong and it is a compact kit. But it would just take different stuff. Like I’d always take linesman pliers over needle nose. Would never regularly use size 1 or 0 screw drivers. It is all good gear but all more smaller stuff you might use on electrical projects rather than general DIY. Bit everyone has different needs. I feel a leather man would replace a lot of that if you just want general edc rather than tools bag in your car

I'd swap out the scissors for a Haas vertical mill.

Ditch the scissors and box cutter and get a good pocket knife. Add small pry and hammer

As far as first tools go that's a pretty good start. Then if ya get serious find you a pawn shop.

with those knipex parallel pliers i went with 86 03 180 version which opens up to 40(new)/35(old)mm and its almost the same size (and price) as 125 which open only to 23mm.

Worth to mention that with parallel pliers we can squeeze something like in a vice, that is why i went with bigger version of them :-)
