Its funny how Mephisto got what he wanted, he's the most intelligent out of all prime evils and a master manipulator. Even if Lilith got his powers nothing bad would've happened to the Sanctuary, she just wanted to empower us in order to beat Heavens and Hell. But this way not only he preserved himself but we killed Lilith for him and who knows what else is part of his scheme

So the whole story is about Mephisto toying with us, and even Inarius is part of his plan since during his imprisonment, a seed of hatred was planted within the broken angel. Lilith was the only one who could have turn everything, but due to her ways, we succumbed to hatred to defeat her.

Can Blizzard write a complete story for a single game in the last 10 years? Not another "the bigger evil is about to come, the current villain is just trying to prepare us" shitshow. I got enough of that shit in WoW in the last few expansions.

Lilith going out is anticlimactic. Her character, story, and design is amazing. Hopefully they give us some DLC or expansions with an alt ending, expand on her, or just revive her like the prime evils lol.

My question is, if Mephisto is sealed in the stone, how is there still his wolf form following her around? And how did he even "become" the wolf in the first place?

The game honestly feels like it has such a non-ending. Mephisto, Inarius and Lilith were interesting as hell, but all the buildup basically went nowhere storywise. They tease us with Mephisto in particular throughout the game and even end on him being on Sanctuary again.

100% sure they'll release a DLC a year or two from now that'll explore this plotline and set up the next game lol

There's something that got me confused. Lilith claims that the Lords of Hell are coming to destroy Sanctuary, yet in the game we see Andariel and Duriel under her command.

Yes, both are Lesser Evils but still they're part of the ruler faction of Hell, which is leaded by Diablo, Mephisto and Baal.


Did they got subdued by Lilith and Elias somehow? Or maybe they acted like pawns once again under the command of Mephisto?

feels like a civil war as well as the ongoing Eternal Conflict. On one side is Inarius who wants to go home to the High heavens and trying to rid stuff he thinks was a mistake, even killing his own son Rathma, so he is only doing things for himself. The other side is Lilith who wants to empower the strong but sacrifices the innocence and weak in order to bring back demons that made a deal with her or sided with her. Questions still remain: the whereabouts of Tyrael and others after Reaper of Souls. It is weird Diablo 4 without Diablo.

Lilith had two sides one she was tired of the conflict made sanctuary paving way for humanity via the fallen nephlim hence in a way she is good two she has an evil too her that cant be ignored she is good in some sense and wickedly evil
