I would be curious if it would gain any speed with a bigger lipo in it. Although it comes with a lipo stock this time, it's still on the low end mAh and likely discharge rate too. Most people that are saying the old one was faster likely upgraded the battery and ran it on the WL toys 1100 or 1300 mAh lipo with a 20-25c discharge rate not the stock 750 or 850 nimh it comes with. I bet with the new version's battery strap you may be able fit a 1500 mAh lipo with a higher discharge rate and it would make it faster. Just my guess though. I know my old ones were way slower on the stock battery!

This years haistorm is 3 mph slow maybe some of the parts are not the same from last year. We need more testing

Tires are not the same. Old tires on new hailstorm .

Speed test on old model done on lipo 7.4 1300

Chassis are not the same an front bumper need do a Weight test

Maybe that why old & new are 3 mph difference between the two

It needs more speed. Then after it gets more speed, it'll need to be more controllable. Then when you make it more controllable it'll need more speed again. Then it'll....where will it end, where will it end?!? 🤔👍🏻🤔👍🏻🤔👍🏻
