Senator Bernie Sanders' full speech at Zellerbach Hall

Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders sent his signature feisty message to President-elect Donald Trump today via an overflow crowd of about 2,000 at his sold-out appearance at UC Berkeley’s Zellerbach Auditorium.

Sanders, 75, who has garnered a cult-like following among both millennials and older progressive liberals, was at UC Berkeley to promote his new book Our Revolution: A Future to Believe In, which recounts his roller-coaster campaign run.

His appearance was met with a standing ovation, then more cheers when he told the audience “at this great university” that a “delusional” Trump does not have a mandate.

Bernie has been a voice in the wilderness, going largely unheard and ignored for so many years. This in no longer the case. When Bernie speaks, people are now listening. It's about time Never have seen him resort to name calling or mud slinging . Bernie is truly a class act .

There are great progressive voices on Youtube that we should seek to leverage and expand those platforms (Democracy Now, Secular Talk, Humanist Report, Tim Black, David Pakman, Jimmy Dore, Young Turks....). Young people use the internet, they don't watch television. While we may try to influence Corporate Media to discuss the issues like Bernie says, I think it's better to see how we can educate people via the internet. We should frame the discussion on issues, not Blue team vs. the Red team. When you discuss issues, there is much more common ground than Red Team vs. Blue Team.

Around 50:00 he makes a very key point about why HRC lost. Not enough positive substantial agenda. "Something terrible" can seem more exciting and compelling to voters than "Wishy Washy Centrism"

I'm not sure you are going to be able to reason with the Trump administration in any meaningful way. And the way the new government is shaping up I would not be surprised to see Bernie in jail for some trumped up reason (forgive the pun).

I like Bernie but come on the money has to come from somewhere... free college ? Medical care ? Where is that gonna come from besides taxes ?.... minimum wage 15 an hour ? Okay companies are going to raise their price to compensate... that’s going to hurt the middle class imo.
