JT I met you and Lady T many years ago when you all lived in the DC area. I think we connected on an ex JW internet forum. You all invited me to your home and we chatted for a while about our experiences. I was in my early twenties at the time but the support and encouragement that you and Lady T gave me was critical to me putting my other foot out of the door and starting down the path of freedom from those cruel religious practices. I am trying to shed light about this concern here in Korea.

Left the JW's around 2000 after 20 years of service, , and still have family inside, but now I've come to realize it is their own lives that they have to live and they have to figure it out by themselves.
When they figure it out and move to their next spiritual level then they will move on to a higher understanding of life and spirituality.
The watchtower bible and tract society is kind of like the pre-kindergarten of spirituality.

That’s exactly they way I thought people would feel after being shunned or disfellowshipped because you’ve spent all this time being groomed to build your whole world around them and then you do something they deem wrong and the bottom falls out of your “world”. It’s really sad to me and for that reason I can’t see myself being apart of their little world. Smh.

Thank you JT for your commentary. I know It was more than a coincidence that I saw this as just 2 days ago beautiful young lady at 21 took her own life after being disfellowshipped 😭
Jesus said John 8:7...'let he who is without sin cast the first stone.'
We are all sinners. Who has the right to pronounce that type of judgment on anyone ? that is not only extreme but inhumane😢

Shunning is awful. I never was a JW, but I lost my best friend to them. They tried to get me, but by the grace of God, I became a born again Christian. The shunning that I experienced was so hurtful that I walked around for a year in total depression. That was 40 years ago.

A mental and emotional death sentence to the depths of my core. Even at 64 I'm just getting over it. A little late but the relief and confirmation was the Hearings in Australia and the investments they hold. This can not be Jehovah's chosen people. Which also left me at a loss! And confused!

That's so true they have way of talking to you like no matter how hard you tried to live up to bible standards it's never enough you have to jump to many hurdles and you never qualify to move up according to the elders 🤔

This is exactly what happened to me. Once I left Jehovah's witnesses I started to make reckless decisions within my life because I was so depressed and beat down by the requirements of the JW organization. I'm still 4 years since leaving Jehovah's witnesses trying to get where I want to be in life. I just always wonder how much better my life would've been without the horrible influence of Jehovah's witnesses.

I often wonder, if authorities within the governments know, how destructive this horrible practice of shunning is, why they would allow Jehovah witness to carry on shunning.?
After all the whole society would have to pay for this crime.

Shunning, as I was told, was a loving ❤ arrangement from Jehovah protecting the congregation.
