Feb.19 -- Tesla sits at a record high. A stock darling of 2020, tripling since October to more than $900 a share. In a bull vs. bear debate, Bloomberg’s Taylor Riggs talks with Cathie Wood, founder, CEO and CIO of Ark Investment Management, and Edward Niedermeyer, author of “Ludicrous: The Unvarnished Story of Tesla Motors”. Wood thinks Tesla could hit $7,000 over the next five years.

"It doesn't seem possible" is what they said about re-usable rockets. "It doesn't seem possible" is what they said about mass-produced high performance EV's. I wouldn't bet against Elon Musk.

track record of being unprofitable? Yes I would like to see ANY company bringing out it's own Superchargers, building out their own service centers, vertically integrating and build their own supply chain not because they wanted to, but because they HAD TO and were forced to. Like Elon stated if they wanted speakers, another major OEM would just place a bigger order and put Tesla on the back burner. This is just common sense buisness practice if the order is over 10x bigger. So Tesla had supply chain issues which they remedied by producing it themselves.

NO ONE WILL BE PROFITABLE for years. Amazon was unprofitable for a decade building out their network. Tesla is no different. This is no different then when Amazon had a breakout around $300 it just went exponentially up from there. btw Cathie Woods was one of the first companies to invest in BOTH Bitcoins AND Amazon way ahead of the curve if you're going by track records.

“The auto industry isn’t like that”...duh dude, Tesla is changing that. It’s called disruption.

People have been dismissing Telsa since 2010 when it's IPO was at $17/Per Share. #NowThatsLudicrous #EdwardScissorHands

This is so easy, it’s almost comical. We saw this with Apple and Amazon. Apple completely disrupted the dumb phones. Amazon completely disrupted retail, and Tesla is taking a page straight out of those books. They are the smart cars disrupting the dumb cars, and none of the car companies can even see it happening. Vertical integration, superior interface, ease of use. The whole thing just makes perfect sense. Then sprinkle the solar roof for the cherry on top. In ten years, people will be asking themselves why they were so stupid and didn’t buy Tesla’s stock. Probably the same people that missed out on Amazon and Apple.

2:03 Excellent point.
2:16 Again excellent point.
2:28 Again great point.
2:54 Wow, he gets it.
Looking at all his points, he is basically saying "Tesla is amazing. I just don't think they can deliver." 3:00

Thanks for the endorsement Mr. Niedermeyer.
Cathie Wood says: "Tesla is amazing. I do think they will deliver."
I think I will trust Elon. He has always reached his targets. Sometimes later than promised, but he gets what he sets his mind to.

Wow, this guy wrote the book on Tesla and hasn't seen a culture of continuous improvement. Where were you looking dude??? I think I'll give the book a miss.

10-20 years ago nobody would believe that we will be that advanced in tech, and EV, and sustainable energy and so on. Everything is developing very rapidly, we just have to wait some time and let Tesla do their job.

Does Edward still think that Tesla is only an automaker?

Geo fenced autonomous driving. Lol. The other companies are placing all there efforts into level 4, geo fenced locations which is fine and good until Tesla figures out level 5 and then they are the only player in the game and nobody else will have laid the foundational groundwork to catch up. Plus you will have to drive around with that stupid looking camera that protrudes on the top of your vehicle. No thanks.

The big thing that everyone misses is Tesla gets all their sales from Zero Advertising! They don't spend a penny. The competitors spend Billions!

Cathie always win every single bull vs bear debate. Where the heck this bear guy come from. Never heard of him and his points were so weak too. He probably just need a channel for PR or to sell book or something. Won’t even waste my time to pay attention to this bear but I listen to every single word Cathie said !!

Consumer Reports published that Tesla Auotpilot is unsafe! Autonomous driving won't happen until year 2035-2040.

Tesla has the best engineers in North America, period. Laid off NASA employees (between Tesla and SpaceX), being the most desirable company for new engineers and professional engineers to work at, being ran by a software engineer who self-taught himself rocket science and automotive engineering, where employees have incentivizing stock options backed by the confidence that their CEO is paid solely in stock options (that he has to wait 5 years to vest) dependant on the companies growing performance literally into and beyond the stratosphere ... yeah ... I call that operational fitness.
