Did it take them this many years for this policy to take place? I feel bad for the hard-working law biding citizens of NYC, who had to ride the subways in such horrible conditions.

Mental asylums should be brought back, but with cameras and separate rooms

Drop them all off infront of Diblasio’s house, he allowed this to happen for years.

Use those abandoned facilities as new mental hospital or homeless shelter in NYC instead of leaving it abandoned. I see a few of them been unoccupied for years

The parks were never as deadly/ violent as the subways are. They are not the same.

The homeless ruin the whole quality of life in the city, and get very violent toward the people trying to get by the day with their ordinary functions. The new mayor inherited all these problems from the old mayor, which i hope i never hear from him again.

They’re gonna go back on the streets/parks and cause issues there. What exactly do these homeless advocates do for their betterment?

As a conservative I believe in giving credit where it's due. Good for this man, someone needs to start saying the truth "this system is not set up to be housing, it is transportation."

People won’t ride the subway because they’re afraid of being stabbed but the city needs people to ride the subway to prevent the stabbings. What an awful paradox.

“Enforcement will not be heavy handed”, meaning: police will ask politely and if they say no, then we will just have to walk away.

This morning I still saw a train full of homeless, I feel like nothing happened.

I agree wholeheartedly. It sickens me to see how nonchalant, desensitized people have become. Most of society normalize things like this and it frustrates and makes me angry. I wish I could do something about it but, where to even begin?

Clearing the bums and beggars cant come fast enough. Working People have the right to commute in peace.

The key is for housing to be affordable which will directly result in less homeless. When a one bedroom apartment costs 2k a month it's no wonder why there are so many homeless.

I’m in my mid 50’s, and I have lived and worked in NYC for my whole life!! Homelessness has ALWAYS been a problem!! Homeless advocate’s beat their chests and ask for funding but little changes. The pandemic has only made the situation worse. Honestly I don’t know what to answer is, but neither do the politicians or the advocates!! But continuing to throw more taxpayer dollars at it isn’t helping either!!

All this is doing is moving the problem from one place to another. Homelessness is not going to go away until the city and state roll up their sleeves and find a permanent solution. The state closed mental facilities and this is largely what led to the problem. They also need to seriously address the issue of people simply walking on city buses in The Bronx without paying. They never seem to do this on the Bee Line Westchester buses in the Bronx. But on the city buses all kinds of people simply just walk on now, right past the driver without paying. Nobody says anything and the drivers are too scared to speak up. Last summer a couple got on the BX 12 bus to Orchard Beach with a large husky. And about a month ago, a crazy woman threatened to attack another woman until I chased her ass off the bus. It's insane since covid. People seem nastier.

In a couple of days, bums will be sliding down handrails leaving streaks of feces behind.

Yeah, Zero Tolerance ... Bull
The mayor doesn't control the District Attorney, the Judges, and the activists who's job it is to protect the criminals.
