Possibly the best travelogue of Sri Lanka I've seen! Great job! It's a shame that no-one told you where to buy the ticket for the Dambulla cave temple. The temples are a feast for the eyes and mind-blowing! I think though, you managed to learn of how to pronounce Ella but then reverted back to how it is spoken by the uninformed. The town gets its' name from the sinhala word for 'waterfall' as there many in the area.
