We got our first Whippet, Schatzi last February, 2024. After losing our sweet chihuahua, Oliver and a mix, Scotty one month apart in 2023. We are retired and 70 years old. I fell in love with her at first sight. My husband was concerned she was too much for us but no. We have half acre fenced and we watch her chase birds, squirrels and she's amazing! I walk her everyday and she is very obedient and follows my commands. Best thing, she loves cuddles and kisses and if not on the couch at night, she lays at my pillow waiting for me. This breed is not suitable for apartment or city living, my neighbours had two whippets and every time they got left alone it was all barking, howling and whining so loud it made me crazy. I do not like whippets at all.

Bull shit. Greyhounds can hit 45+ mph. I have had both greyhounds and whippets. Greyhounds are faster. Whippets can turn quicker. A greyhound can run down a whippet.
