My dad had a black '55 Fairlane with a red/white interior when I was growing up. I wish I could buy THIS car!

i had a 55 fairlane in high school, and the first thing to do was find some Mercury taillights. then narrow whitewalls and baby moon caps and chrome trim rings. drop the front about two inches, and rake the rear up about two inches, and then put on dual exhaust. loved it!!

your '55 is sweet !! my first car was a '56 fairlane station wagon had the 312cuin motor
the parents bought a '56 fairlane convertible w/292 new but it was in a fire in 2002.
it was garaged up to the fire. paint and upholstery were original and in perfect shape.
the only thing replaced was the convertible top.
