Nour, I think the F-150 is a decent buy for that price. I completely agree with your rationale about replacing a motor on a truck like this vs one that doesn't look as good. This one has the 5.4L V8. My mother bought one brand new and we got it to 205, 000 miles before selling it. It developed problems with the cats and the power steering was shot. Other than that, it was super solid, only leaving her stranded once in 19 years when there was a spark plug failure, if I remember correctly. Ford's 5.4L has been discussed at length on the internet. I would encourage you to go through and check out some of the issues on the forums and address the common issues preventatively so you're not left stranded. I pray your motor gives you many good miles, but if something happens, I would recommend swapping in a newer 5.0 motor. They were introduced in 2011, which is the same body style so I would assume the only issues would be computer/ecu issues considering its a different type of motor. Physically, it should fit no problems. Congratulations!
