i love how this game transitioned from silly bug game to backyard dark souls with its enemies. that boss entrance for the infected broodmother was genuinely the most terrifying of them all. like, by the time you've fought it you would have fought a bunch of other bosses so you already expect it to come from the ceiling, except this boss room has no entrances besides the one you came through, and then the boss is was just *there* the whole time.

1. Rough reload GREATLY reduces damage when you shoot, wait until the debuff is over.
2. Peep.r the infected broodmother to find what is useful.
3. Use only the scythe or the clubs. Choose the mutation for either.
4. Equip reliable friend. Reviving is theoretical infinite health and making it easier to do so is great.
5. If you really can't beat the brood mother no matter what you do. Most of It's attacks are just modified versions of existing spider attacks. Go practice parries on them.

boss battle idea:

use the blood bomb things to give u instant health (if i remember correctly)

Try a Minty Toenail Scimitar, about 30 Beefy Green Machines, Lvl 7 Ladybug Armor, And a Fire Ant Shield, and MAYBE you stand a chance. Try to get the Perfect Blocks in as well.

They really get you with this boss. You start off with “wow, this boss is super easy, weaker than like the wasp queen” but it’s such a perfect trick to let your guard down for the REAL boss…

If you have 4 players all with maxed out thief skill, it should take 6-9 kills to drop the boss trinket.

It's power is to make all other summons explode.

i suggest waiting for the end of the rough reload effect ostart shooting cause thats why you werent doing damage also it seems like you can cheese them with that infected chunk like at 16:42
but you dont plan on cheesing it try corporate kickback and 1 handed fresh weapons with the fungal or shield trinket and fresh trinket is best for phase 1 also the infected broodmother does stabbing damage im pretty sure so maybe you should try spicy safety

they DID nerf it a little. Its 3rd stage attack speed WAS actually impossible to counter, making it badically impossible for those who make "no damage" money challenges their lifes work

The infected broodmother in her second phase gives you debuffs of less healing and less atk dmg by x3 in her last phase it gives debuff of x8 -x15 also her exploding infected chunks heals it by a bit .

Venom build helped me beat my first infected broodmother. So, you will need Level 9 sleek mask of yhe mother demon, termite chestplate, and widow shoes. Weapons you will need Level 9 widow dagger (might or mint for more damage) and fire ant shield. Mutations are assassin, parry master, coup le grass, Trapper peep.r, and corporate kickback. Corporate kickback is most helpful because when you block, sometimes it will heal when you attack, so don't use a club. Also accessible is thors pendent.

I suggest using the mantle trinket with the apex predator along with your fresh weapon to kill it easily

Explosives heal the infected broodmother also she gives debuffs everytime she screams or you take damage from explosives

You should use the mint arrows to do more damage and if you peep her you can see her weakness
