I think that Legends as its own series is perfectly fine imo.

It follows a much more liberal approach to whatever the game is about, I think so long as the core series runs alongside it then it's sort of a points of having your cake and eating it too.

The premise of Arceus was essentially the foundation of Modern Sinnoh which means that a lot of the things that we associate with a modern Pokemon game wouldn't be available either way.

I enjoyed both legends and scarlet but i have to wonder how much better gen 9 couldve been if the time and effort and energy thst went into legends at the same time was redirected. (Heh re:directed?)

And tbh alot of the initial negative criticisms of scalet/violet came from ppl who expected it to be built upon and iterated on what good things did exist in Legends.

I'm looking forward to when we know more about what Legends Z-A is. I enjoyed Arceus for what it was, but I don't think we'll really hope what makes a "Legends" game until we know more about Z-A.

My issue with arceus were that it didnt have enough trainer battles.

The exploration and discovering pokemon was great, but without trainers with developed teams to challenge yourself against, it felt kind've stale.

If AZ has much more trainer battles, or even online, thatd make it a lot more fun to team build

I just started my playthrough of arceus and not a fan of forcing me to do gimmick pokedex quests to catch multiple of the same Pokémon I have no interest in. Catch them in different ways or make them do certain attacks. I'm glad it exists for the people who like this I guess. I don't think I'm gonna care too much for the game but I'll give it a go. Just found out trading it trash. Why do they keep changing and ruining trading. It was perfect with older games and the GTS. You could look up what you wanted to trade for and see what people wanted n trade. Or do random. Now you need a code and no random trading. Why do they ruin trading.

Great video! 👍👍 Agree with nearly all your points towards PLA. Now, with Legends ZA - it has all the elements to _become_ a Great. The huge issue is the Great Tusk in the room: the fact that We may not be able to leave Lumiose City. For all things and as Good as they turn the Quality up to, that for me is _not_ going to beat the 8 distinct towns/Cities and seamless Open-world of Scarlet/Violet, despite that games technical flaws. Here's hoping we can explore Kalos.
