I've always wanted to try the "smashed" potatoes...they all look delicous. You should make small flower arrangement in your blue glass and sit it where you can see it ..so when you go past it..you will have a memory. Take care.

An elderly man saved the bowls that came in oatmeal boxes! He gave us 6! We still have 5!! Our 53 anniversary was July 5th! He was so sweet! He passed away about 5 yrs ago and was almost 98! My perception of elderly has now changed! He was a young bachelor when he gave them to us! Lol

My grandma used to feed her long haired cats a little bit of butter 3 or 4 times a week. She said it helps with hairballs. When I had a my cat, I gave her butter too. She was right! Grandma was always right!!!

All these recipes look amazing! I am going to try them all! My husband and I were stationed at Pope AFB in Fayetteville back in 92-95. It was our first assignment out of officer school. He spent 33yrs in. Just retired a few years ago. He did 8yrs enlisted and 25yrs as an officer. Lots of moving, lots of him being gone over the years. How many years were you guys in?

I am teaching my 10 year old grandson to cook. In the matter of 4 times now he can make his own cheese omelet. This grandma is so proud. He has decided he wants to be a chef and he tells me I am the best cooker lol. He has decided next time he comes to stay he wants my ribs. They all look really, really good, I can't decide which one sounds best...guess I'll just have to try them all!!!
I sometimes roast potatoes coated with olive oil, and then sprinkled with powdered ranch dressing mix, or taco seasoning...now I'm wondering if it would be good to use both ranch and taco seasoning together?
Potatoes really lend themselves to the imagination don't they?
You can flavor them with just about anything.
Think outside the box where all of the best ideas live!!!

Mandy, wonderful recipes! When we grill out, we scrub potatoes cut them in half score them in a crosshatch pattern on the inside and put a pat of butter and a bay leaf on them. Then we put the two sides together wrap them in aluminum foil and grill them until tender.

My cousin and I both love to cook. We started getting together every other Sunday where we pick out all new recipes to try. Appetizer, main dish, side and dessert. Funny coincidence: Our first home kitchen colors were navy and yellow 😃 I bought these cute little duck canisters at the flea market.
