Times are different now, you can't do blatant propaganda and expect it to work, there's social media where your public can see and call you out when you lie.

That's why we get movies that is suddenly have a Chinese actor you probably never heard before being the best buddy of the main character.

Or the movie suddenly have something to find that is coincidentally can only be found in China.

And villians that is kind of attacking a chinese firm and the villian is either a european crime boss or a rogue american intelligence officer.

If they need an asian villian, North Korea is to be potrayed even the plot would suddenly becoming too unrealistic for it.

Many works run on this pattern that somehow kind of annoying. If there are going to put the chinese in it atleast blend them in nicely to the story it is kind of off sometimes

It's not time yet. The first instance was the remake of Red Dawn. Then, the North Korean takeover of the White House. These happened so long ago that you were either too young to have seen them or simply forgot. Where do you think your weariness originates? Focusing American anger towards an adversary must be nurtured over time. It must coincide with the operational readiness of the 6th generation tech and battlefield tactics. There's also a little problem of actual deployable numbers of boots.
