Believe it or not I made such a leap in 1996! Devastated by the departure of my partner and our son to Australia, I gave up being a plumber and became a fine art painter. I have encountered a vast number of other very traumatic experiences since then and eventually they all caught up with me, physically, all at once! That was about 18 months ago. Your dialogue on Expressive Photography has helped a great deal recently. As I have felt particularly lonesome with my approach to photography being what it is. I actually love and embrace chaos, complexity and accidents. Why shouldn't I? My life is a car crash, a very brief methodical dissemination of parts, played out in slow motion so I can appreciate the patterns and energy and governed by the laws of entropy and chaos. So they are both exceedingly repetitive and can never be done-over...

I am looking forward to listening to this as despite being a wreck I'm a thoughtful, passionate absorber and forgetter of knowledge. I have turned the letting go of stuff into a fine art! I forget why...
