Glad I saw this. I was getting ready to ditch Comcast for Sling and try to figure out OTA. Now, I may just go for YTTV and save myself all those headaches.

Yes I have dish I hope everything works out okay. If not there's always a backup the good old TV antenna. I get 50 channels with my outside antenna I guess I can't complain.

A lack of competition is never a good thing.

They, should have studied on UK's Freeview FTA Ku band satellite service system and mixed with Pluto style formats. 🙂👍

That could have a win win situation here in USA!🙄

Yup. Cancelling my service. The monthly bill keeps going up and up and now that fiber internet is in my TV = Free.

Informative and helpful the first video I watched the guy did not mention anything you have on this and his video left me kind of confused.

One thing which system they gonna use for satellite signals directv closed system or dish which you can scan in but 99 percent encryted i'm leaning toward dish system also another to consider direct tv makes larger dishes than dish that change as well to cut down on costs

I know... High prices... Monopolies... It isn't a necessary service. You can get all the news you need from other sources, and there are more entertainment options available than ever before. Full, paid programming is an addiction. The buyer sets the price. If you have the courage to walk away, the price will go down.

dish and direct tv sucks too much money and very few channels you have to pay for every thing you watch
