China hits back after U.S. calls for tracing transparency

China on Wednesday said the United States must be open to a World Health Organization investigation if it wants "complete transparency" in the process of tracing the origins of COVID-19. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zhao Lijian made the remarks after Washington called for new studies into when, where and how the pandemic began.
