The non-partisan PACT Act would have expanded healthcare coverage to Iraq and Afghanistan veterans who were exposed to toxic burn pits while they were overseas.

Why anyone would join the military and hope the government will do the right thing is beyond me.

The reporter should have asked Tim Scott’s office to show where today’s version of the bill differs from the one previously passed.
It is not different. Scott either wants to deprive Biden of a win, or is simply parroting GOP talking points.
Both options are cowardly, cynical, and lazy

And here I get trolled. All they say is read the bill! There's enough info out there that I don't have to look up the bill! It's about VETERANS! The end! Why do we spend hundreds of billions for war, but won't spend the same amount for helping our wounded veterans!

They'll spend $2.2 Trillion on the war but $400 Billion over the next 10 years is too much for Veterans. Personally, Congress spending $3.1 Billion on themselves is too much for me.

Didn’t Congress give themselves a couple billion in security? But can’t help the vets

I just still don't understand why why anyone was allowed to stand near the burn pits. There's absolutely no reason to not have had anything but a remote pit that could be set on fire remotely by one of the many robots that's our military uses anyway. Can someone answer that?

They should have included sleep apnea to the list of breathing issues

It’s unfortunate this veteran isn’t well informed and is being played like a pawn by democrats. He needs to open his eyes and pay attention.

War they love to pay for especially when they get lots of money. Paying the bill for the Health and welfare of those of us who fought those wars though? Nah they’d rather keep that themselves.

EXACTLY. They tried to put 400 billion in there, that didn't apply to veterans.

Take all the unrelated spending (basically legal money laundering) out and pass it.

Ridiculous, as if ANY politician would vote against helping veterans, I’d bet there is something buried in the bill that has nothing to do with veterans in it...

They voted no because of all the other bullshit in the bull.

This would enable an additional 400 billion in future discretionary spending completely unrelated to veterans …
