To me at least, the Jedi Order completely failed Anakin. They used him for their dirty work yet refused to actually help him with his very real mental illnesses, not to mention his understandable grief and stress.

He lost his mother who the Jedi failed to save her from slavery and then eventually his wife and the Jedi were complacent about real constant suffering in the galaxy on top of causing more suffering through their callous actions.

Throughout the Prequels and the Clone Wars, he had every right to distrust them as they broke his trust in them over time and that could definitely be seen as a betrayal from Anakin’s point of view.

No wonder he thought they were evil. It was Luke, his own son, who defied the Jedi Order’s ways, actually saved Anakin and brought him back to the Light side of the Force and save the Galaxy from Palpatine who had used Anakin his whole life.

I believe Anakin said that because they were hypocrites as well as acting like politicians and people pleasers. Another reason is how they threw Ashoka under the bus for a crime she didn't commit.

The downfall of Anakin began when Qui-Gon was killed by Maul

Nobody here talking about when anakin killed dooku the driving words for palpatine post hos death were "he was too dangerous to be kept" which are near identical to what windu says when anakin confronts them during the fate of the senate scene. Anakin, in that moment, heard one of the best and most reputable jedi stoop to the level of THE sith Lord they were after. Anakin was shown he couldnt trust the system by them committing treason to have him spy on the chancelor. Then, he confirmed his suspicions of the jedi acting in selfish vain.

Funny how the jedi say he has too much fear, but yet it is fear of uncertainty about Anakin's future that they have that holds him back. I probably would feel betrayed and that the jedi were norhing more than jealous, elitist, untrusting, hypocrites

I mean, the fact that Mace Windu (one of the most obedient to the rules of the modern Jedi) WAS breaking the rules he vowed to uphold, by trying to execute Palpatine without fair trial..

Anakin calling them 'evil' isn't far from the truth.. The Order was arrogant in the light, and saw themselves above the wisdom of the Force.

If i'm right, George never said who actually was the right Side between the Sith and Jedi, they are just different Orientations on how use and feel the Force.

While i wouldn't call them evil from the moment they met Anakin none of them bothered to good to him.
He was either treated as a ticking time bomb or viewed as not worthty from the start or a useful tool.
Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering
Well the Jedi were so afraid of him because they couldn't see his future, despite the fact that they view the future always in motion and supposedly don't view in absolutes, they damed him from the start.
His statement of them being evil is more of a result of 13-14 years of mistreatment then anything else.
When Windu told him that he would trust him after the Palpatine revealed, that was more of a insult then anything else, imagine fighting on the front lines of a galatic scale war for years, losing your brothers in all but blood, being under constant strees, unable to sleep properly, fighting for your organisation and then the leader says that he will only trust you if you are right about Palpatine=Sidious, also people say Mace didn't trust Anakin because of his connection to Palpatine, well it was his fault that a connection exist to being with, he allowed an elderly politician alone time with a 13 year old boy they neglected, what did he think would happen.
Did Anakin do evil things in RotS, yes he did but considering all the things that happened to him by RotS i can't help but wonder if the Foce wanted Vader to exist, to cull both the Jedi and the Sith and have his son Luke create a new and better Order.

Jedi were usually only granted the rank of Master after they trained their first apprentice and Anakin's had been cast out of the Order over allegations later proved false and despite Ahsoka choosing to walk away, it probably bothered Anakin that Ahsoka, who many praised as a brightly gifted student of The Force, was unceremoniously abandoned

If Qui-gon didn't die then things would of turned out completely different since unlike the other Jedi Qui-gon wasn't so uptight and full of himself like the rest of them

After they found out the enemy created the clones they decided to keep it a secret which lead to the death of many Jedi’s

When I watched it, I thought he called them evil because they prohibited him from making any earthly attachments, which prevented him from being with Padame.

They were also “evil” by not letting the Jedi grow up normally with their families and not letting them have normal human relationships. They also blindly followed politics and were very rigid.

Pity we never see the horrors committed by the Jedi to agree with him in the films
