I’m still a student teacher (about to finish my internship in two weeks) and I HATE IT when my grade fives ask me what they are doing or what to do immediately after I tell them. I’ve made a vow to have all the information they need up on the board and just tell them to look at the board or ask someone else (unless it’s a reasonable question). I know this won’t work all the time but I hope it’ll help haha. It’s been working well so far

I’ll be teaching 4th grade next year, but see that it’s a lot like 2nd. Except in 2nd on top of all that they cry over stuff, laugh forever at the simplest of things, tell on each other and get very easily upset, wrestle each other, slide home except we’re not playing baseball, can’t tie their shoes, and some of them eat their buggers.😂

Im in 4 and the second the teacher goes out for ONE minute the class SUDDENLY TURNS INTO A LIVING ZOO😐HOW JUST HOW AND WHEN THE TEACHER COMES BACK THE WHOLE CLASS TURNS ALL PINDROP SILENCE AND IM LIKE WHAT HOW YHE HEVK DO THIS HAPPEN

Sounds like the 4th Graders needs a nunny and not a teacher...alot irelavant questions to avoid doing the actual work in class.
